I live in Birmingham, Alabama. Is Atlanta my office?

Yes, Alabama is part of the Atlanta district per the Embassy's page. The drive from Birmingham is about two and a half hours on I-20; also check the mobile consulate calendar.

What if I live in Tennessee?

The Embassy's page still mentions Tennessee, but since the Nashville consulate opened, that is the sensible place to go. Call (470) 657-2510 to confirm which office you are assigned to before traveling.

Is the office in downtown Atlanta?

No: it is at 192 Technology Parkway, suite 150, in Peachtree Corners, some 30-40 minutes from downtown depending on I-285 traffic. Free parking is available at the complex.

Office-specific notes

  • The office is not inside Atlanta but in Peachtree Corners, a tech suburb northeast of the city, on Technology Parkway.
  • The official page still assigns it Tennessee, but that state recently gained its own consulate in Nashville: a clear case of a page pending update.
  • It is the consular gateway to the Deep Southeast: Georgia and Alabama hold large Guatemalan farm and poultry-industry communities.
