Is the consular section in the same building as the embassy?
No. The embassy's seat is at 1220 19th Street NW, but consular services are provided at 1990 M Street NW, Suite 104. For passports, civil registry or powers of attorney, go to the M Street office.
How do I get an appointment in Washington?
Through SRECI's official appointment portal, citaconsular.sreci.gob.hn, choosing the Washington, D.C. office. Procedures are in person, so attend on your assigned date with your original documents.
I live in Virginia or Maryland — is this my office?
It is the closest one for the Washington metro area, including the Virginia and Maryland suburbs. Honduras does not enforce strict districts, so you may also use another office in the network if it suits you better.

- The consular section operates from its own office at 1990 M Street NW, separate from the embassy's diplomatic seat at 1220 19th Street NW: consular paperwork is handled on M Street.
- Appointments are booked through the SRECI central portal (citaconsular.sreci.gob.hn), shared by most of the Honduran consular network in the U.S.
- All procedures are in person and personal; the embassy requires original documents, not copies.
